SUMMARY:2014 Summer School on HPC Challenges in Computational Sciences
DESCRIPTION:Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars from institutions in Europe\,\nCanada\, Japan and the United States are invited to apply for the fifth\nInternational Summer School on HPC Challenges in Computational Sciences\,\nto be held June 1 – 6\, 2014\, in Budapest\, Hungary. \nLeading computational scientists and HPC technologists will offer\ninstruction on a variety of topics\, including: Access to EU\, U.S.\,\nJapanese and Canadian HPC-infrastructures; HPC challenges by discipline\n(e.g.\, bioinformatics\, computer science\, chemistry\, and physics) ; HPC\nProgramming Proficiencies; Performance analysis & profiling; Algorithmic\napproaches & numerical libraries; Data-intensive computing; and\nScientific visualization. \nThe expense-paid program will benefit advanced scholars from European\,\nU.S.\, Canadian and Japanese institutions who use HPC to conduct\nresearch. Meals\, housing\, and travel from US\, Canada and Japan will be\ncovered for the selected participants. \nApplications from students in all science and engineering fields are\nwelcome.
